The One Show

PRODUCER/DIRECTOR
BBC Studios / BBC One

Commissioning Editor: Michael Armit
Executive Producer: Tanya Hudson

Over the years, I have made a large range of short films for The One Show’s arts team, taking topical arts stories to a BBC One audience and finding the most innovative, entertaining, and unexpected ways to make them accessible and relevant to an audience of millions.

These films are always colourful and diverse – from the inspiring story of an artist creating beautiful prosthetics for amputees, to everyday people making art out of cake, or even horse grooming! They’ve uncovered little known stories from British history – Charles Frederick Worth, the father of haute couture, the Scottish inspirations of Mendelssohn, and the female novelist who may have inspired the James Bond series. They have been presented by Al Murray, Cerys Matthews, Simon Callow and Gyles Brandreth to name a few.
